Yard Operative / Driver

Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor, the Yard Operative will be responsible for moving vehicles in the yard, organising the space outside the dealership and assisting customers with deliveries and collections. It is essential that you can drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle, and our ideal candidate would also hold a licence to drive the bigger vehicles.,

• Moving of vehicles & trailers in the yard, and generally keeping the yard organised & tidy.


• Carrying minor repairs on light commercial vehicles, horseboxes & trailers.


• Preparing vehicles for delivery- internal & external cleaning of used vehicles.


• Assisting with deliveries and collections- this may include collecting vehicles from customers or getting vehicles for MOT checks.
  
  You will:


• have a clean full driver's license (up to 7.5 t, however Class 1 would be advantage)


• be a trustworthy and honest team player;


• be able to follow specific instructions;


• have an organised and focused approach to tasks;


• be capable of working on own initiative;


• have pleasant and confident manner with excellent communication skills;


• display attention to detail with ability to work to & maintain high standards;


• be adaptable and able to re-focus when workshop priorities change, Yard Operative: 1 year (required)

The hours of work are between: 08:00 - 16:30 (Monday to Friday).
