Full Job Description

Davies is a family-owned local business with high standards and a relentless focus on customer service. We are a busy and expanding building and maintenance contractor looking for a professional and customer focused individual to join our small, but friendly, office team. The works planning manager will possess excellent communication skills as they will be dealing directly with clients, engineers and subcontractors to schedule in appointments.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that customer expectations and contracts are met., · Receiving and planning job requests from clients

· Allocating works to operatives

· Diary management for up to 17 engineers

· Inputting new jobs into job management system (Job Logic)

· Managing all current jobs within the job management system

· Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.

· Ensuring all relevant data is updated on a timely basis

· Maintaining infrastructure log

· Dealing with queries on phone and email

· Develop and nurture positive and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers and subcontractors

Predominantly you will be planning and allocating jobs to our engineers. This role is a very busy reactive role, and the successful candidate should be able to respond promptly and urgently to emergency and urgent maintenance calls from customers, be a good problem solver and be able to 'think outside the box'. You should also be able to work well under pressure., Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within a busy office environment and our requirements are:

  • Minimum 2 years office experience

  • Experience of working within the construction industry would be an advantage

  • NVQ Level 3 Business Administration

  • Full UK Driving Licence or reliable means of transport to the office

  • Excellent computer and data entry skills

  • Able to organise and plan efficiently and effectively with good attention to detail

  • Sense of humour

    You will be based at our office in Burscough and working 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
