Do you have a few hours a month to spare? Are you able to interact with people with learning disabilities? Are you patient and understanding and enjoy chatting & reading.
If the answer to these questions is yes, then we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for people to befriend and visit our residents in their homes. We have many locations around London that are currently recruiting.
As a befriender you will engage and support the person with activities that they enjoy, this could include going for short walks, , enjoying a cup of tea and a chat and providing encouragement and support, watching a football match or looking through magazines. If you have a hobby then come share it with our residents.
This would be an opportunity for engagement, to interact within the community and to experience an increased sense of purpose.
In return we offer training and support, including induction, health and safety and data protection.
    Travel expenses will be re-imbursed.
