Full Job Description

Based on growth plans, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Sustainability Consultant to lead and deliver sustainability projects for the Mabbett Environment Group. The role will ideally be based in Cardiff, supporting local South Wales clients as well as national and international projects. Join us and be part of the opportunity and solution!, You will work from the Cardiff office primarily, with hybrid options available as you will be provided with all IT equipment and software/services require to facilitate efficient home working. We are a flexible employer and are willing to consider arrangements that are desirable to you., Whilst at Mabbett there are multiple teams with specialist focus (e.g. mechanical engineers with energy auditing expertise, flood risk consultants, EHS compliance consultants and auditors, carbon footprinting/SBTi modelling specialists) the Environment Group brings both specialist and complementary support to enable project delivery across a wide variety of environmental sustainability issues for clients. Clients include both private and public sector organisations.

Your specialist technical disciplines will ideally include two or more of the following areas:

  • Industrial environmental management

  • ESG

  • Integrated management systems consulting and auditing (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001/ 45001)

  • Circular economy consulting

  • Sustainability strategy development

  • Sustainability reporting

  • Environmental legal compliance

  • Climate change impact modelling

  • Training

  • Resource efficiency

  • Carbon/life cycle assessment.

  • You will work within a supportive, friendly and growing team, contributing to meeting Team Mabbett targets. Technical skill, passion and focused delivery are all key to this role. You will have experience of delivering technical projects yourself as well as working with others successfully. You'll have great communications skills including clear report writing and data analytics skills.

    The position may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) in the U.K. and abroad depending on project requirements. Company pool cars are available for business travel from certain offices - a valid driving license is required, valid passport and photo ID is required for air travel. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland., The ideal candidate will possess an Honours or Master's Degree in sustainability, environmental management, ESG, climate change, chemistry, waste, or a related sustainability/ environmental/ engineering subject in line with the experience and competencies listed below. The candidate should ideally have a full, clean UK driving licence., The ideal candidate will have 8+ years' experience, including multiple years of consultancy experience, including strong track record of great customer relationships, project management and winning work.
