NMC is currently going through an extensive digital transformation state modernising the solutions that underpin our key business processes, infrastructure to a cloud base and maturing our data architecture and landscape.
NMC is looking to hire Solution Architects (SA) to our Enterprise Architecture Team. As an SA you would be responsible for the architecting efficient secure and cost-effective solutions. The SA will work with internal teams of Product Owners, Business Analysts, SMEs, Business Intelligence, Test Analysts and external implementation partners to help deliver the requirement gathering, implementation, testing and deployment of solutions into production environment.
The SA will work on the development projects by developing solution designs, review partner's design proposals ensuring that the overall technical architecture is aligned with NMCs IT strategy. The SA will also be responsible for the alignment of solutions with NMC principles best practice and governance., To regulate well, we support our professions and the public. We create resources and guidance that are useful throughout people's careers, helping them to deliver our standards in practice and address new challenges. We also support people involved in our investigations, and we're increasing our visibility so people feel engaged and empowered to shape our work.
Regulating and supporting our professions allows us to influence health and social care. We share intelligence from our regulatory activities and work with our partners to support workforce planning and sector-wide decision making. We use our voice to speak up for a healthy and inclusive working environment for our professions.

Extensive experience in designing transitional architecture and addressing security aspects of all architecture's disciplines

Experience working with infrastructure, platform and software as a service and as well as knowledge of on-premises architecture.

Substantial experience of solution design using Microsoft applications, platforms, and technologies

Proven experience of documenting solution by using UML
Experience with application rationalisation and modernisation initiatives

Proven experience of generating innovative and effective solutions

Experience in dealing with external delivery and strategic partners

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical audiences Ability to guide and lead those involved in a System Development Lifecycle

Sound understanding in current technology and tools and emerging technologies. Ability to identify and manage technical risks

The NMC are currently going through digital transformation and are on an exciting data journey, whilst the SA's will be working across a variety of disciplines its is preferred that you have a background in data.

Our core role is to regulate. First, we promote high education and professional standards for nurses and midwives across the UK, and nursing associates in England. Second, we maintain the register of professionals eligible to practise. Third, we investigate concerns about nurses, midwives and nursing associates - something that affects a tiny minority of professionals each year. However in exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer a salary above the bottom of the relevant pay band but we may request proof of current earnings. Please note that we offer an annual review of salaries and adopt a generous progressive pay approach. Further details of which are available on request.
