Social Media Executive

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK's leading providers of news for the food and farming industry as social media executive. Farmers Guardian, part of Agriconnect and the Arc Network, is a multi-platform content provider powered by a team of award-winning journalists and is seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual to help curate content for and engage with our social media followers across our brands' various channels.

You will be up to date on the latest social trends and know how to engage readers and social media users. We need someone who will be continually on the hunt for social content that will engage and inspire, help to grow our online audience and develop our brands through innovative online content.

Our social media team is core to our digital presence, and working alongside our editorial team, you will help to promote FG's content to our core audience and further afield. If you are a social media guru and are driven by social media success, this could be the role for you, especially as we continually look to develop our digital presence.,

• Curate social media posts across all our brand's accounts using creative and innovative processes Help to create and develop video content for social and online purposes


• Respond to messages, engage with the community and identify key content


• Monitor social media channels and gather content from users to be shared across our platforms


• Engage with team members to enhance our digital offering


• Feed back to the editorial team about conversations on social media and create social-first content


• Assist with key campaigns across the Agriconnect brand


• Edit and brand short, simple video content for social media channels


• Produce social media/website statistics for teams throughout the business upon request


• Upload content to our website and work alongside the editorial team to identify key social media opportunities


• Identify key influencers to work with who represent our brands and help to deliver content to wider audiences


• Help create and deliver video content


• Be reactive and responsive to social trends
  
  An ability to use analytical insight to make creative yet factual content


Confidence to take personal responsibility for delivery of quality social media content

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver internal and external objectives

Self-motivated and enjoy keeping up the date with the latest news, trends, and marketing

Agricultural knowledge/experience would be desirable but not essential

Experience with software (or similar) is preferred but not necessary:

Adobe Creative Cloud, primarily Premiere Pro and Photoshop
