Full Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Finance Assistant within the University's Income and Credit Control team based in the Finance Division.

The Senior Finance Assistant will work closely with and support the team's Supervisor and Senior Administrator, providing active collection of tuition fees, accommodation fees and other debts due to the University along with allocation of income in an accurate and timely manner. This role will have line management responsibilities.

You will have extensive experience in credit control processes which is essential for the role. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, building trusted relationships and working closely with members of the Income & Credit Control team and with other colleagues within the University.

The role holder is expected to deal with students, staff and many other University customers, both professionally and confidentially in line with service standards. You will need to have excellent customer service skills, experience of team working in a customer-focused role and be able to work to a high degree of accuracy.

Applicants must meet all the essential criteria on the Person Specification to be considered for interview. In addition, studying towards an AAT qualification, or equivalent, would be advantageous but is not essential.
