Full Job Description

You will play a pivotal role in driving the revenue engine of the resort by crafting and implementing strategies to attract and retain guests and clients. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and negotiating contracts that align with the resort's financial goals. Your role encompasses a blend of sales expertise, strategic foresight, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry to ensure the resort's offerings are compelling and competitive.

Reporting directly to the Resort Director the Resort Sales & Revenue Manager will work closely with the RD to identify key growth areas in all segments below by driving all sales activity for the resort., · Developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed occupancy and revenue targets.

· Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients, including travel agents, event planners, and corporate clients.

· Conducting market research to identify trends and seeking opportunities to increase sales.

· Negotiating contracts with clients and ensuring terms are met by both parties.

· Collaborating with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.

· Attending industry events, client meetings, trade shows and networking events to generate leads and represent the resort brand.

· Preparing and presenting sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to resort management and stakeholders.

· Working closely with other resort departments to ensure a seamless guest experience that can lead to repeat business.

· Training and mentoring sales staff to improve performance and achieve sales objectives.

· Managing and updating the resort's presence on various sales channels, including online travel agencies and booking platforms.

· Overseeing the coordination of events and group bookings, ensuring client specifications are met.

· Utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track client engagement and sales activities.

Key Performance Indicators

Accommodation and C&B Revenue Strategy & Analysis Processes

· Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices..

· Identify new revenue opportunities.

· Optimize and expand distribution partnerships.

· Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the resort and manage day to day yield operations.

· Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting.

· Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.

· Create and maintain a rolling demand calendar.

· Provide a weekly forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons.

· Manage and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution.

· Responsible for assessing, analysing and pricing group business strategies.

· Analyze overall monthly resort performance and provide a summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.

· Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.

· Ensure web site booking process is maintained up-to-date and functional.

· Regularly check the input and the quality of data (segmentation, denials tracking, etc…) points.

· Conduct quarterly property performance reviews and develop strategic and tactical action.

· Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modelling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts.

· Evaluate the performance of distribution partners and contracted rates.

· Reduce the cost of distribution by finding new less expensive means of delivering business.

· Prepare an outline for and support the annual revenue budget process.

· Inspire Resort's HODs to further embed a revenue management culture.

Reporting

· Consistency in providing daily, weekly and monthly reporting.

· Using precise and effective language to communicate the most important KPIs and actions.

· Consistent use of professional language and style of writing.

Communication

· Embed a revenue management culture.

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with levels of staff and stakeholders.

· Work in liaison with resort sales and reservations departments as a team.

· Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations department.
