Full Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for the New Build Residential sector.
The ideal candidate must be suitably qualified and have an excellent understanding of construction.
Main Duties, but not limited to:
Estimating and take offs
Prepare enquiries, analyse and put tenders together
Attend meetings with clients, site meetings and subcontractors
Manage subcontractors, including orders, payments and final account
See projects through from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
All aspects of Health & Safety, including preparing site files, RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, Lift Plans
Keeping track of on-site changes and variations
Provide technical advice across all stages of the development process, assessing risks, validating costs and carrying out site inspections.
General tasks to support the business
· Full UK Driving licence
· Quantity surveying Qualification
· CSCS Card
· Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law
· Knowledge of cost forecasting and reporting, cost control, cost risk management, contract documentation preparation, contract administration
· Ability to work well under pressure
· Ability to communicate confidently
· Technically minded
· Ability to use own initiative, as well as working as part of a team
· Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
