Full Job Description

Reporting into the Supplier Services Category Manager (Bestway Vans) this role will manage the alcohol category for an exciting new project under the new Bestway Vans Salesforce + business unit. Supported by the Supplier Services Category Manager, this one-year fixed term contract will include being the first point of contact for our supplier partner, hitting budgeted margin, stock forecasting and residual clearance plans, range management and provision of a balanced sales plan to meet the needs of both the Bestway Vans Business and our Supplier Partner. Management of the Trade Marketing Executive assigned to the Salesforce + business unit to deliver all sales tools, plans, iPad tech coordination and administration will be included in this role.

Meeting Business Objectives

· Ensure business objectives are met by tracking project performance daily and reviewing with the senior team every two weeks in the business planning meeting.

· Use internal scorecard data and reports to ensure the salesforce understand their performance and business KPIs are met.

· Preparation of reporting and insightful but clear presentations for senior meetings as and when required.

Budgeted Margin Achievement

· Ensure all funding is up to date and claimed by finance.

· Hold monthly margin review meetings with the Bestway Finance Manager to ensure the project is on track and profitable.

· Understand and keep up to date with UK alcohol legislation and duty ensuring that all products are sold in line with legal requirements.

Supplier Relationships

· Manage external relationships with our Supplier Partner being the first point of contact for external meetings.

· Regular trading meeting and review of progress to ensure the project is on track to meet set objectives.

· Travel to London to meet with supplier and take part in brand training where applicable.

Stock Control

· In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, forecast stock as required through the JE system for ongoing demand by sku / depot.

· In conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager, forecast promotional stock for agreed NPD activities with suppliers in time for the agreed cut off windows.

· Co-ordinate any stock issues with the supply chain manager, category buyer at Park Royal and with Supplier through regular reviews and period action plans.

Sales Plan Management

· Operate an annual sales calendar to meet supplier terms requirements while providing a balanced activity programme to provide the support for the salesforce to achieve the period sales targets.

· Set and agree the drive brands for the Salesforce + business, product sample budgets, period salesforce incentives, and period stock allocations.

Management of the Trade Marketing Executive

· Responsibility for the product set up and maintenance of Dashboard with correct cost, sell pricing and terms.

· Responsibility for amending pricing for any promotional changes on a 4-8 weekly basis as required.

· Responsibility for communication to the salesforce all changes through the daily comms and other formats.

· Responsibility for the timely production, presentation, and distribution, of the NSM sales planning deck.

Support the Supplier Services Category Manager or Director of Trading with any additional tasks required.
