Full Job Description

As a Production Support Operative you will work on production lines preparing and packing products into various pack formats including bags, cans or similar. Palletising finished product ready for dispatch into the warehouse in the Belt/Palletising Area. Filling lines with the appropriate materials products on the Mezz Floor Area. Ensure the work areas are clean at all times and especially at product change over and at the start and end of the day.

Monday - Thursday (weekly rotation)

  • 06:00 - 14:00

  • 14:00 - 22:00

  • 22:00 - 06:00


  • Friday (weekly rotation)
  • 06:00 - 13:00

  • 13:00 - 20:00

  • 20:00 - 03:00


  • Hourly pay rate - £11.83 (Paid weekly)
    Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety, legality and GMP standards of the products produced in the production facility

  • Work on production lines to put finished products into various containers such as cans or packs. Items may then be packed into larger boxes and stacked on pallets for despatch.

  • Ensure quality standards are adhered to at all times. Challenge products to spot faults or deviation.

  • Identify errors in the machines operation and report it to a Line Leader, Supervisor or Quality Assurance person.

  • Keep the all areas clean and tidy at all times. Sweep up spillages immediately.

  • Ensure the lines are cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule in operation.

  • Good oral and written communication skills are required and paperwork to be completed and signed off where necessary.

  • Inspect product either before, during or after processing/packing as required etc.

  • Fill, load or replenish any production equipment required to produce the products.

  • Re-work various products including shrink wrapping and palletising them as detailed above.

  • Any other suitable operation as governed by the needs of the business.

  • Adhering to QAD SOPS when issuing materials and receipting finished goods.

  • Follow Works Orders and understanding basic variance reports

    Ability to work in a fast pace environment

  • Good communicator

  • Team player

  • Food Safety Level 2 Certificate.

  • A1 PPT Licence
