Primary PE Specialist / Sports Coach

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic PE & Sport Specialist to join our experienced team on a freelance short term basis to work at a Primary School in Newton Le Willows delivering Curriculum PE lessons and After school clubs. As part of your self-employed role you will be required to:

· Plan and deliver all aspects of Physical Education in line with the National Curriculum to a high standard

· Be responsible for promoting sport and exercise around the school

· Deliver extracurricular clubs after school, during dinner times and on occasions before school.

· Train and prepare teams for entering competitions

· Run inter school competitions

· Use initiative and be proactive during and around PE delivery times

· Passionate about teaching children

· Enthusiastic when encouraging children to lead healthy active lifestyles

· Able to inspire children to want to play sport and take part in physical activities in and outside of school

· Organised, punctual with excellent time keeping abilities

· Able to implement effective positive behaviour management strategies

· Professional

· Reliable

In addition to these personal and professional skills you should have:

· A clear DBS

· A sport related degree and/or numerous coaching NGB Awards (backed with experience)

· NGB awards in a number of sports

· Experience working with primary aged children including those with Special Educational Needs (References and examples to support this)

· Relevant First Aid Training

Education:

Various National Governing Body awards

Bachelor's Degree and/or PGCE (preferred),

Experience:

• School Teaching: 2 years (required)


Licence/Certification:

• NGB Award or Sports Degree/ Course Qualification (required)
