Practice Facilitator

Working with the Practice Educator, the post holder will be responsible as a member of the Practice Education & Development (PE&D) team for:

The development of the PE&D team as an education resource and a support to the clinical areas to provide safe and effective learning.

The delivery of education for Trust staff and learners on placement

The development and evaluation of education programmes

The development of multimedia technology-based education resources.

The development and delivery of simulation based education.

Research and audit for PE&D

Line management of identified junior staff within the department

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual who is passionate about educating the healthcare workforce.

Due to promotion within our team, we are looking to recruit a Practice Facilitator to support nurses in the first year of their career and another to support nursing practice and development post preceptorship.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential. The role will be responsible for ensuring support, training and assessment is in place for the Trust nursing workforce from preceptorship and beyond.

The successful candidate must be passionate about education and committed to the development of others to ensure our early career and mid to late career nurses are supported in their practice education and development. As well as acting as an excellent role model.
