Full Job Description

  • Predominantly working with our Scania fleet to undertake maintenance and servicing of vehicles and trailers to VOSA and manufacturers standards

  • Undertake maintenance of equipment and ancillary equipment to manufacturers and Company standards and procedures

  • Report, inspect and document findings and faults to equipment on a daily basis and throughout the course of the working day

  • Provide high customer service levels whilst working to deadlines

  • Ensure adherence to Company health & safety practice's and ensure all compliance details are captured

    What skills & qualifications do you need to be our HGV Technician?

  • Driving license (desirable)

  • Experienced in working with tankers or HGV types (including trucks and trailers)

  • City & Guilds 1,2 & 3 Certificates or equivalent qualifications in a similar areas would be an advantage

  • High level of enthusiasm & good communication skills

  • Basic knowledge of computers and ability to complete relevant written documentation

  • Good organisational skills and ability to be able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and seize opportunities

  • Initiative to work autonomously if required

  • On-site parking, Here at S J Bargh, we have an amazing opportunity for a Night Shifts HGV Technician to join the team based in Lancaster. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis working nights Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary of £51,754.56 per annum plus excellent company benefits and brilliant working conditions!


    • The work pattern advertised is Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am. No weekend work is required, however overtime may be available and paid at a premium.
