Full Job Description

We are seeking a qualified ecologist, with experience of providing advice on planning applications and supporting other services to deliver their projects with nature in mind., You will have excellent technical knowledge, great communication and problem-solving skills to regulate Biodiversity Net Gain as part of development. Good botany skills would be beneficial, with working knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and experience using Defra's metric. Ideally you will hold CIEEM membership, Bat and/or GCN licenses and have experience undertaking surveys and supervising works affecting protected species.

Cheshire West and Chester Council have adopted a Local Living Wage for our employees which means that all employees will receive a minimum of £12 per hour for all contracted hours.
