The Nuclear Medicine service at MFT operates over three sites providing services for the population of Manchester. Combined, the service covers 7 gamma cameras (5 SPECT-CT), spread over 3 sites, a PET-CT scanner, and provides non-imaging studies and therapeutic radioiodine treatments for benign disease. You will be part of a dedicated team of 6 admin and clerical colleagues, responsible for the booking and scheduling tasks within Nuclear Medicine for the trust.

This role will consist of a broad range of duties and responsibilities, covering areas including:

• Booking and scheduling patients for their scans


• Communicating with clinical teams to clarify referral details


• Ensuring scan results are communicated to referrers


• Ensuring patients are aware of their scans and any preparation required prior to arrival


• Covering the reception desk during the evening (and from time to time during the day)


• Ensuring the safety of patients and relatives in the reception area and calling for assistance as required

The department operates a 12 hour day, Monday to Thursday and the shift pattern requires working in the evenings on these days.
