LILS / RK / JSH - Personal Assistant - Clitheroe

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a young man within his family home and within the local community.

Your duties will mainly involve providing company, social stimulation and entertainment, during a period of respite for his parents. Some assistance with personal care is also necessary.

We are looking for a caring, proactive and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, but a positive attitude and good work ethic is essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A full, clean driving license would make access to a vehicle possible- though driving is not essential. Accompanying on walks (with wheelchair) and on visits to library / shops / cinema etc would be regular activities-as would providing company at home.

This is a part time position for 6-12 hours per week with an hourly rate of £11.44 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
