Full Job Description

PSR and Sons Limited is a family run business based in Preston. Our key clients are the local NHS Trusts, local government departments and housing associations. We also work with local commercial businesses and faith groups. The bulk of our work is carried out in Preston, South Ribble, Chorley and Blackpool but we do occasionally cover the wider Lancashire area. Most of our jobs fall within the reactive, minor and refurbishment works sector of the construction industry. We specialise in all types of joinery works, including new provision and repairs, glazing and locks. PSR and Sons recently gained registration with BM Trada and specialise in the installation and maintenance of fire doors. We also carry out small building projects and repairs.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in all aspects of joinery works. Experience of working with fire doors would be advantageous but training can be given.
Other skills such as building or groundworks are welcome. There is opportunity for the right applicant to progress within the company. We offer an excellent package

The public sectors we work in keep us busy and this affords us the opportunity to employ new people. The post is available with an immediate start, though for the right applicant start dates can be agreed taking into account any existing notice period you may have. You must have a full driving licence as driving a company vehicle will be required.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be available. Starting salary is £13.00 per hour but there may be some flexibility depending upon experience.

COVID-19 considerations: Face masks are provided by ourselves and locally on site. These must be worn on site where you cannot be socially distanced (i.e. 2 metres apart)
