Full Job Description

We're recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer (MS Power Platform) here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative EUCS team.

This role aligns against Infrastructure Engineer from the Government Digital and Data Framework

  • Help to design, build and implement MS Power Platform environments to enable and run user-centric, data driven applications across the Ministry of Justice.

  • Administration of the Power Platform, including utilisation of MS COE to perform regular maintenance tasks, configurations, policies and updates

  • Act as a technical SME providing platform advice, knowledge sharing, and technical assistance to other sections of the MOJ's digital estates.

  • Using tools to automate current manual processes minimising human effort.

  • Support initiatives that deliver Power platform workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions.

  • Communicate with end users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.

  • Work with application developers, (including third parties) to facilitate environment creation and other configurations needed for the business to implement their application

  • Demonstrate and apply a good understanding of the latest standards and practices relevant to the role.

  • Work with end-users and/or their suppliers on the setup, configuration and development of High LevelDesigns along with other governance processes.

  • Present recommendations for resolving ticket requests and exercise some independent judgement while developing understanding of the process, policies and risk controls.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues.

  • Work with end-users on the setup and configuration and development of High and low level Designs.

  • Work as a team to resolve operational issues and restore/optimise services.


  • The Infrastructure Engineer (MS Power Platform) will work collaboratively with:
  • Lead and Senior Engineers

  • Technical Architecture and Service Operations teams

  • 3rd party Service Managers, Project and Technical leads

  • Senior Operations Managers within the EUC team

  • Key MOJ stakeholders

    Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent workplace experience.

  • Experience in implementing and managing Power Platforms components and infrastructure solutions.

  • Proficiency in automation and administration tasks, (including scripting) within the Power Platform environment.

  • Hands on Experience and knowledge of Power Platform components, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect, App Maker or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant or equivalent.

  • Understanding and experience of administering Azure and Microsoft products.

  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated track record of successful projects and initiatives


  • Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC vetting.

  • Successful candidates who meet the required standard will then be invited to a 1-hour panel interview held via video conference.
    Should we receive a high volume of applications, a pre-sift based on the following criterion will be conducted before the sift -

    The national salary range is £39,868 - £43,535 London salary range is £45,824 - £50,039 Your salary will be dependent on your base location
    Total pay in the range of '£30,001 to £40,000, £40,001 to £50,000, £50,001 to £60,000' are subject to capability, skills and experience. Salary may consist of base pay and a Recruitment and Retention Allowance (RRA)
