Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit 1 x HGV driver to join our transport team. You will report to the Fleet Manager and have at least 3 years' experience as an LGV 1 driver.

Based in North Cave, East Yorkshire, Brocklesby Ltd recycles used edible oils and fatty food waste into feedstock for biofuel and renewable energy. It is one of the leading companies in its industry, playing a significant role in reducing carbon emissions and the world-wide commitment to renewables and sustainability.

We collect and deliver used cooking oil around the UK on various trailers, including Vacuum Tankers, General Purpose Tankers, Curtain Siders and Box Trailers, so a good all-round knowledge is preferable. We are an own account operator and not general haulage, only transporting our own goods., Clean and current driving licence - LGV 1 (no more than 3 points), recent LGV driving experience (preferably within last 6 months), DCPC, Digi card, good knowledge of the UK road network, good understanding of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours legislation, ability to be flexible when required.

This is an important role where you will build relationships with our customers / suppliers. We expect you to have good communication skills, and be polite and courteous.

You must have the ability and confidence to work unsupervised and flexible working is a must.

You will be required to ensure your vehicle / trailer are kept in a good, clean working order.

Work Experience

Experienced LGV 1 Driver (3 years' minimum), full understanding of EU driver's hours and WTD regulations, good standard of English, both written and verbal, good knowledge of various trailer types (Curtain Siders, Tankers, Box trailers etc), Liquid tanker experience preferred.
