Full Job Description
- Maintain a valid driver's license and current medical card.
- Follow all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Load and unload cargo in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure proper working order.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any problems encountered.
- Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers on the road.
- Be able to drive in all weather conditions.
We are looking for an experienced class 1 driver on a self employed basis to join our team we have an immediate start available. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This position requires a valid commercial driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to follow all safety regulations. The Driver must also be able to read maps and plan routes, as well as maintain the truck in good condition. This role is currently working on curtainsiders and sliding roofs so ideally the candidate would be familiar in using these type trailers. We can guarantee work Mon to Fri and the role does include nights out with night out allowance paid also. You will be issued with your own unit which has inverter and microwave fitted as standard.
