Founded in the heart of Manchester's historic textile district in 2006 by Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane as boohoo, the group today is home to a portfolio of innovative on-line brands targeting a wide demographic and selling anything from fast fashion to homeware, beauty and premium clothing.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Group Sourcing Director, reporting directly to our CEO John Lyttle and leading a strong team of "Heads of" across the responsible sourcing and product operations division. The role is ultimately accountable for devising and delivering a group sourcing strategy to drive profitability of the boohoo Group business.

This role can be based out of our central Manchester or Soho, London office.

YOUR TEAM

Responsible Sourcing and Product Operations is reimagining how the Group works globally. We cover Sustainability, Sourcing, Ethical Trade, Product Quality and Operational Efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Responsible for the organisation design and effectiveness of the central sourcing function and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally across all levels within the business.

Develop and execute a group sourcing strategy to ensure boohoo Group Brands objectives are realised and optimise all opportunities to achieve economies of scale through the introduction of new product and new country of origin opportunities.

Continuously review and challenge the existing supply base to support the business's aim of improving margins whilst continuously improving quality and compliance standards through regular performance reviews.

Implement best practice reporting frameworks to monitor, report and advance supply chain performance.

Ensure boohoo group ESG sustainability strategy and operational goals is delivered through support to the group sustainability team.

Accountable for Factory and Supplier performance and integrity. Work hand in hand with the group Ethical Compliance team to ensure all suppliers meet boohoo's code of ethics and ethical standards.

Work with the group Quality Assurance and Quality Compliance teams to continuously inform, challenge and support the supply chain in improving quality standards in production and fit process.

Establish formal costing processes, ensure rigorous price bench marking infrastructure is in place, cost breakdowns and standards across the group brands business.

Work with Buying & Merchandising teams to ensure the correct balance of price, quality, design and fabric performance is delivered across the Group.

Monitor and stay aligned to market and industry trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation and risk mitigation.

Represent boohoo Group in all areas of sourcing and act as an ambassador/business partner for all potential new and existing suppliers.

MORE ABOUT YOU

Have the personal standing, intellectual capability and operational grip to gain immediate respect throughout the organisation.

A senior leadership candidate minimum of five years' experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain management.

Possess strong financial acumen, excellent planning and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Familiarity with industry sourcing tools, technology platforms and industry best practices.

Act with courage and have the ability to work at pace with high levels of drive and energy.

Able to influence at the highest levels through clear, informed and logical debate.

An inspirational, pragmatic and positive professional with obvious presence and impact who is capable of managing and leading both UK based and International sourcing teams.

Displays a can-do attitude and is able to set vision and direction as well as embrace the operational elements of the role.

An innovative thinker who can adapt to the commercial needs of the business.
