Furniture Delivery Driver

You will be required to lift heavy sofas in & out of our store & warehouse to load on to our vans and deliver to our customers homes, we deliver the sofa to the customers room of choice.

This can be a physically demanding job and experience in furniture delivery or removals etc is preferred But not essential.

Monday to Friday , 40 hours per week, starting 7.30 - 4pm. Some days there might be an hour or so overtime depending on how your day has gone, getting stuck in traffic etc can set you back slightly.

You will be driving 3.5 tonne Luton van and always be with another one of our guys for every delivery.

we also collect a lot of sofas from our suppliers mainly around the north west so you will be collecting and loading the van with stock also some days.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers and clients. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and excellent communication skills.

Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery van or truck to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the vehicle in a timely manner
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders before leaving the warehouse
- Collect payments from customers, if required
- Communicate effectively with customers and address any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills,
