Fragrance Safety Scientist

To deliver this ambition a new Safety & Regulatory Science team is being created which will be at the forefront of our fragrance transformation journey. You will work closely with the Fragrance Safety & Regulatory Science team by supporting the development and implementation of Unilever's Safety & Regulatory strategy, ensuring that our fragrances not only captivate but also comply with the highest safety and regulatory standards.,

• Work with colleagues in the Fragrance Safety & Regulatory Science team to deliver the Unilever fragrance Safety & Regulatory strategy.


• Conduct comprehensive safety assessments of fragrance ingredients and formulations to ensure their safety in Unilever products


• Develop and apply non-animal safety assessment capability to enable the marketing of Unilever fragrances


• Collaborate with cross functional teams including R&D to deliver a roadmap that incorporates safety requirements to support the development of a future-proof fragrance portfolio.


• Collaborate with fragrance suppliers, trade associations and other external organisations to ensure a freedom to innovate for Unilever fragrances.


• Contribute to the development and implementation of a 'future-fit' data management and documentation system for fragrance regulatory compliance.


• Actively monitor and manage emerging issues and trends related to fragrance safety.
  
  We are looking for the right candidate who will have a growth mindset and will embrace the opportunity to build a new team within an integrated and cross functional Unilever fragrance capability.


You must have significant regulatory science experience in the fragrance and/or FMCG industries, preferably globally.


• 
  Minimum BSc in Toxicology, Biochemistry, Biological Science or equivalent.
  
• Experience of applying non-animal New Approach Methodologies is desirable.


• Experience of internal cross functional collaboration.


• Experience of external collaboration such as within Trade Associations or Regulatory Authorities is desirable.


• Excellent communication skills especially communicating technical topics to non-expert audiences.


• Ability to take the initiative and being proactive to get things done.


• Ability to work in an international team.
