Financial Controller

Join our team as a Financial Controller, the linchpin in our Petcare organization's reporting, accounting, and internal controls. You'll support the Segment Controller, CFO, and President, ensuring accurate, timely financial statements and driving insightful financial analysis. You will collaborate on global and Segment-specific programs while maintaining the highest standards of quality in our accounts.,

• Ensure proper accounting, health of balance sheet and P&L


• Use expertise to interpret accounting practices, assess impact, and enforce compliance.


• Ensure timely delivery of accurate and complete financial information for the units within the Cluster.


• Conduct structured analysis/reconciliation of financial statements/management reports.


• Review and approve periodic, quarterly, and annual financial accounts for all units within the Cluster.


• Oversee implementation of controls framework, controls testing plan and execution, co-lead governance & control agenda with CFO and GM


• Partner with non-finance functions that may impact finance (e.g., sales, supply)


• Own relationship with Mars Global Services (MGS) Finance - Work with MGS to ensure adherence to accounting standards and accuracy of accounting information for the units within the business.


• Ensure all other financial and operational aspects of the business are compliant with local, federal, and global regulations and effectively manage risk (e.g., tax, audits, insurance, etc.)


• guide accounting for special projects, transformations, and other ad hoc business requests.


• Support the implementation of new systems or business models.
  
  Experience in Controllership including experience operating Period End/Year End Processes, Quality of Accounts


• Experience in accounting.


• Strong communication skills


• Demonstrated analytical capabilities.


• Full working proficiency in English, best case good level of German


• Advanced Excel, basic SAP & Analysis for Excel


• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and digital solutions
