Full Job Description

Our Field Service Engineers attend customer premises to deliver passionate customer care by working on multiple types of calls including but not limited to: the install, commissioning, calibration, routine maintenance and service repair of the product range sold and distributed by Snap-on and our associated business partners.

You will be able to effectively prioritise your individual work load to achieve corporate and regional metrics.

You will also be responsible for accurate, efficient administration and inventory management.

  • You will have a suitable qualification at City and Guilds/ONC/Btec/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

  • Suitable mechanical experience with knowledge of hydraulic systems would be preferable. Full training on products will be provided.

  • To be successful in this role, you will be able to work well on your own, have good time management, excellent fault finding skills, be action orientated and able to remain composed under pressure.


  • Customer care is a key element of this role and the successful candidate will be required to be comfortable communicating at every level.

    Due to our continuing growth strategies, we now require another Field Service Engineer to service and install our Company range of Garage equipment to independent workshops, franchise garages, body shops and commercial vehicle service and repair facilities.

    Territory for this role is Manchester and surrounding areas- the role is home based so you will likely need to reside within this large geographical area.
