Depot Team Leader

As a Team Leader of a busy Site, you are an integral part of a team in providing service without compromise whilst providing leadership and direction to the team in order to deliver the business objectives.

You will be able to use your initiative and excellent organisational skills to prioritise daily tasks to ensure the smooth and effective running of the depot

Manage the depot to ensure staff are trained, perform to company procedures, comply with legislation requirements and deliver first-class service. Proactively identify opportunities to reduce costs, increase sales and marketing opportunities to improve revenue.,

• Be responsible for the successful and efficient day to day operation of the depot


• Manage resource to consistently meet and exceed your set plans and targets


• Ownership of site and staff to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation


• Create and adopt a Health & Safety culture


• Comply with all aspects of PAS43


• Ensure that all equipment checks are completed correctly and in a timely manner


• Participate in staff recruitment, inductions and training


• Identify and deliver new business opportunities by researching and building relationships with new clients


• Manage and grow sales with existing accounts


• Ensure processes are completed within the depot


• Communicate effectively


• Ensure all documentation and personal information is processed in accordance with the companies GDPR policy


• Have an excellent understanding and control of the depot costs and banking


• Email resource to Head Office at the beginning of each shift and at the end to allow for efficient workload distribution


• Induct and train all new team members to competency


• Full accountability for staffing levels
  
  Must have previous experience within the recovery industry


• Excellent Telephone etiquette


• Commercially aware of the costs incurred by decision making


• Can cope when working under pressure


• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively


• Great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy


• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and people skills


• Innovative


• Positive attitude lead by example on shift at all times


• Computer literate, fully conversant with Windows based applications (full training will be provided on our systems)


• Flexible in work approach and hours in line with business demand


• Must be able to pass CRB vetting as this is essential for the role


Preferable

• Clean driving licence


• Fork lift truck licence


• IVR training will be an advantage


• Good geographical knowledge, Team management: 1 year (required)


• Customer Service: 1 year (required)

  Salary negotiable depending upon experience
