Full Job Description

As a Registered Manager reporting to the Director, your role is to ensure the highest levels of service is maintained through managing performance and quality improvement. You will contribute to the strategic direction and lead teams of staff, embodying the organizations values.

About the role - Duties include budgeting, establishing and maintaining occupancy through promotion and marketing, developing relationships with statutory partners, complying with CQC regulations, risk management and health and safety.

Support to clients:

  • Ensure clients' support plans are agreed with our partners and monitor progress; and

  • Minimising risks to IHOT's clients by actively monitoring compliance with our Safeguarding and other policies., If postholder is self-employed/consultancy you must have adequate insurance arrangements (Professional Liability, Public Indemnity etc.);

  • Hybrid of home-based and office-based (at DFH);

  • Own transport;

  • Postholder may be able to do work for other organisations - subject to agreement.

    Knowledge or previous experience of management of staff in a supported housing environment;

  • Knowledge of the current legal and regulatory requirements, and best practice, for supported housing providers;

  • Empathy with and understanding of the needs and conditions of IHOT's client group;

  • Experience of working with partner organisations;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • IT skills (Microsoft Office);

  • Problem-solving;

  • Understanding of finance/budgeting; and

  • Flexibility and adaptability.


  • Skills and Experience - Desirable:
  • Current (or last 12 months) experience of staff management in a supported housing environment;

  • Experience of reporting to a Board;

  • Negotiation;

  • Knowledge of websites/'cloud' IT (inc. data protection); and

  • Working with a charitable organisation., Supported Living Manager: 1 year (preferred)

  • Registered CQC Manager: 2 years (required)
