Full Job Description

We're hiring for a compliance manager at New World Trading Company on a 12 month Maternity Cover contract.

This role is responsible for overseeing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and site facilities to ensure compliance with all legal guidelines. They conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations to the business for improvement. They also ensure guidelines are communicated to employees, report on health and safety issues, and develop relevant policies to maintain a safe and complaint workplace. Their focus is on promoting occupational health and safety and minimising risks for employees.

  • Develop and deliver safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.


  • Develop policies to establish a culture of health and safety.


  • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.


  • Conduct training and presentations for safety matters and prevention.


  • Monitor compliance to policies and laws through site visits.


  • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle insurance claims.


  • Report on health and safety (including fire safety) awareness, issues, and statistics.


  • Oversee Riddor reporting.


  • Manage the relationship with our Food safety partners.


  • Oversee Licencing requirements.


  • Oversee Music Licensing requirements.


  • Be our local authority liaison.


  • Ensure fully registered, safe, and compliant New Openings

    Minimum of 5 years' experience in a risk and safety management role


  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desired.


  • Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent


  • Good knowledge of safety regulations and legislation


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • Strong leadership and people management skills


  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
