Full Job Description

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills.

Experience is essential and you should be working in a similar environment, able to demonstrate high standards, working on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems.

Knowledge and/or a relevant qualification in health and safety is desirable and you should be prepared to undertake further training and development.

You must be educated to at least Functional Skills level 1 in English and Maths and this is equivalent to GCSE Grade D - G.

Lancaster University Facilities have a number of part- time cleaning vacancies.

A free bus pass for travel to work is currently available through Flexible Benefits.

Current hourly pay is £11.44.

Facilities undertake all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, landscaping, security, accommodation, hospitality, sport, capital development and general maintenance of the Estate.

The post is required to start 1st April and will be 23.75 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday, however, you will be required to work up to 7 weekends a year, working on either the Saturday or the Sunday.

The shift times available will be 8am or 9am start.
