#TeamNNUH are recruiting for Cardiac Physiologists to join our busy team in Technical Cardiology.
As a result of a recent £15 million spend on our Interventional Radiology Unit (IRU) and a complete refurbishment of the Cardiac catheter labs; the department is going from strength to strength. And we are seeking dedicated individuals to join us, who have the ability to communicate in a personable, approachable and respectful manner to staff and patients.
As a department, people are at the heart of what we do. Working within our dedicated Cardiac Cath labs, within Cardiology Outpatients, you will work as part of a team which delivered over 1250 device implants last year. This makes us the biggest implant centre in the country! Working alongside our Specialist Physiologists and a team of 24 Consultant Cardiologists, you will play a pivotal role in the care of our patients.

The CRM service is well established; including Brady, ILR, CRT±D, ICD, SICD, Micra and CSP implants and follow-ups. This is provided by 7 Cardiologists and 11 Physiologists
We performed about 1250 device implants in the last year, making us the biggest implanting centre in the UK. We currently have >4000 devices and ILRs remotely monitored, using 3 of the device manufacturers systems. We also offer outreach follow up clinics to one of our surrounding DGHs.
We have a rapidly increasing EP service in operation, performing a full range of diagnostic EP studies and ablation; including complex EP., + To provide clinical and leadership support, to all Rhythm management colleagues
+ To act as a resource for support and guidance of Cardiology staff and at Trust level, as required.
+ Assist in the placement of appropriate personnel/skills across the directorate.
+ Implement and work to Trust and Directorate, evidence based, procedures, policies and guidelines
+ Work closely with the Lead Physiologist Rhythm Manager to promote good working relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
+ Assist in the management of staff performance and development through a process of appraisal, which should include a cycle of constructive performance review and the establishment of a relevant personal development plan.
+ Monitor and manage staff sickness and absence.
+ Ensure all staff complete the relevant training and statutory updating regarding mandatory training, i.e.COSHH, Health & Safety, Infection Control, Resuscitation, Moving and handling, Fire lecture and Occupational Health.
+ Identify and report performance issues in accordance with Trust policy
+ Act as an ambassador for the Trust in professional and public settings.
+ To comply with the patients complaints procedure of the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust

We have more capacity in the evening and at weekends and can usually provide spaces during those hours.

The NNUH is served by a number of public buses, and we offer generously discounted monthly passes with First Bus & Konect.
The Costessey Park and Ride runs regularly each day from 06:30 (from P&R) to 20:45 (from NNUH) and this service is free for NHS staff. There is a regular Thickthorn P&R service as well which is free. Applications to the Travel Office are required for this service. We also have a discounted service from the airport P&R if you purchase a bundle. Please see Konect website for further details.
The NNUH host multiple bicycle racks and a salary sacrifice scheme. We also benefit from a Beryl station onsite.

You must have at least 2 years experience working as a band 6 in CRM; and either have or be working towards accreditation in Devices and/or Electrophysiology. (BHRS / IBHRE / EHRA)

A £3000 welcome bonus and relocation package up to £8000 is available to eligible candidates, terms and conditions apply., 37.5hrs p/week, but would consider part time hours. Commitment to on-call rota for CRM only - currently 1 in 10 on a rotational basis. There will be a rotational weekend commitment as we are working towards 7 day working.
