Full Job Description

Responsibility for all matters in relation to the bar areas, supervising of staff and ensuring that club policies and procedures alongside legal and statutory requirements are adhered to. On occasions will be required to undertake the role of Steward in their absence.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • General management of cleaning and bar staff - including ensuring staff are on time, appropriately dressed, not intoxicated or consuming alcohol or drugs while on duty

  • Manage and supervise outside contractors whilst on site

  • Ensure the accident book is completed following an accident and that any issues are reported to the Steward and Health and Safety committee member

  • Ensure the cellar is kept clean and tidy at all times

  • Regularly clean drink dispense lines and maintain kegs

  • Management and ordering of stock and ensuring its rotation

  • Manage deliveries of all stock in to the club

  • Responsiblity for daily cashing up

  • Ensure the bar area, both front and back of house, are kept clean and tidy at all times

  • Report all repairs needed in any part of the Club premises

  • Report to the Steward any issues with gaming machines when in need of repair

  • Be responsible for all the keys to the outside doors of the premises and the alarm. When the alarm is activated, shall be available for call out duty to supervise work being carried out

  • Keep a diary of events in the club and take bookings in accordance with club procedures

    The job holder must:
