Accounting Officer

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic finance professional ideally currently in an Accountant, Finance Officer, Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role looking to further their career and join an established and growing company.

The ideal candidate will tick most of the below boxes below in terms of experience, skill-set and qualities:

· Assisting with monthly Balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to:

o Prepayments

o Deferred Income

o Fixed Assets

o Accruals

· Producing month-end journals in relation to the above

· Assisting with lots of analytical information requests (internal & external)

· Assisting with Sales & Purchase ledger tasks

· Assisting with and maintaining cash flow forecasts

· Excellent attention to detail, working to very high standards

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Motivated, with a high level of enthusiasm and energy

· Able to work under pressure, coupled with a strong work ethic

· Strives for continuous improvement and technical excellence in all activities

· A can-do attitude and be well organised

· A calm and patient manner, ability to show empathy but be professional and firm

· Previous relevant experience (3+ years) in a relevant finance role

· AAT qualified or equivalent, ideally working towards CIMA or ACMA, · Experience of working in an IT MSP environment hugely advantageous

· Intermediate or Advanced Excel

· Experience with dealing with external stakeholders or investors

Additionally:

· Candidates must possess a driving licence and have access to their own vehicle

· Will be expected to pass basic disclosure DBS and sign a confidentiality agreement given the sensitive nature of information the candidate will be exposed to

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
